Don’t Buy: Lack of Alien Theories
About a month ago, water was found on Mars. Not just remains of water, but actual water. Water that could potentially support some kind of life. Yippee Skippee. And now that we know, we can finish destroying this planet and have a planet covered in rust to move on to, I was expecting more than just a CNN report covering this story.
Back in the day, any time space travel or space living was implied, the loonies came out of the woodwork and yelled and screamed about conspiracies, theories and the end of the world. Where are they? Where are all the crackpots with their crackpot ideas? Does Area 51 mean nothing anymore?
If the possibility of movingĀ to another planet isn’t doing it, then how about cows? It turns out, thanks to google earth, that a scientist found out that cows graze pointing to the north. For some reason cows were always linked to alien theories (as seen in the scientific image below). And now that they have an oddly keen sense of direction, I expected farmers, with their crop circles, and internet weirdos to join forces to create absurd theories that I could write “don’t buys” about. But no. I guess they are too busy dealing with Obama theories. For some reason this golden opportunity to make shit up is being missed. There are no loonies. And that’s simply something I can not buy.

I can’t believe you wrote this whole blog entry and didn’t mention anything about the lecture in our astronomy class on dinosaurs and cat monsters on Venus. The professor was a real astronomer crackpot, you know!
the cow thing is definitely weird, but really…is it strictly NECESSARY to spend thousands of dollars figuring out why 65% of all cows at any given time are facing north or south???
I went upstate to my brother’s farm this weekend and all I could think about was this fucking article every cow I saw!
But then we were driving and came across an entire herd of them feeding East/West, and I felt a little better.
