Buy Or Don’t Buy

Okay, so just 4, 8, maybe even 12 years ago Diddy, aka P. Diddy (maybe he was even called “Puffy”) got young voters to think about heading to the polls with the “Vote Or Die” campaign. Those strong words were plastered all over MTV and on celebrities of caliber. He made 18-25 year olds think they had the chance to help shape this great country. It didn’t really turn out so well, but he was out there. He was P. Diddy, being cool and sharing awareness. But something has changed.

Diddy has lost being “iconic”. He lost his Bad Boy Records to reality T.V. If you stopped watching MTV and VH1, you are missing/missed: “Making the Band” seasons 2-4, “I Want To Work For Diddy”, and upcoming “Starmaker”. Not only are these shows lame, they are glorified talent contests that tend to be really annoying. He makes bands, or gives people jobs and they all admire him in return. They have to look sexy and dance sexy and sing sexily… and I’m off point.

Back to politics, the video above is regarding McCain, and apparently, Mr. Sean Combs, by which the government calls him, isn’t buying the Republicans and McCain’s choice of Sarah Palin.

You may ask yourself why does he repeat everything? Why does he make up a new name for himself rhyming with Barack Obama? Why is he spinning? Simply because he is Sean “P. Diddy, hold the P.” Combs. And if the 2000’s were still in style, he would rule this world.

In case you haven’t noticed, I like when people act foolish, I like when people don’t know when it’s over. (Just look at all the comments on this sad video, most are negative, Diddy.) It’s that ironic sadness that I feed off of. So while Diddy’s opinion means nothing more than Sarah Palin’s opinion, he is still out there making a motion-sickening video blog. He be buggin’ and filming at the same time! Granted, he made one very good point. If McCain picked Michelle Obama as his running mate… I’m pretty sure America would have exploded and Sarah Palin’s daughter would still be pregnant.

So while Diddy makes his celebrity status more inane through reality T.V., MTV is moving on to another smart black man to push voting to the 18-25 year old demo. And that is Kanye West with “Choose or Lose“. And IDK if I BOBD that.
