Buy Or Don’t Buy

So some big (kinda) news yesterday - that internet hacker protest group thingy “Anonymous” hacked into Sarah Palin’s Yahoo e-mail account and posted the files of a bunch of private e-mails.

Anonymous is already a vaguely well-known group because earlier this year they staged all these anti-Scientology protests and wore masks and shit. And while I 100% agree with them that Scientology is a giant scam on gullible idiots and should not be given tax-exempt status from the IRS (and 82% agree with them that Scientology is probably responsible for the mysterious deaths of several naysayers) (OH CRAP I’M NEXT), is Scientology REALLY the most insidious problem facing America today? (Answer: No. The Mormons are!!!)

Anyway, back to the Palin scandal. Look, I can almost guarantee you that I despise Sarah Palin more than anyone you know. My blood pressure rises every time I see or hear those four awful syllables. I think she’s a horrible human being, let alone VICE POTUS.

But the way to squash her is not to hack into her private e-mail account. First of all, NOBODY likes hackers, except maybe other hackers. (”l0lz i haxxx u nxt!!1!”) Everyone’s greatest fear, aside from meeting the Burger King mascot in a dark alley, is having all of their private information accessed on the Internet. “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” does not apply in this situation. Hackers get no sympathy from me, no sense of camaraderie, even if they’ve got a great target.

Now, because nobody likes hackers, this allows Sarah Palin to play the victim again. As if it weren’t enough that her vagina somehow allows her to claim special treatment from everybody ever, she can now also talk about how evil pinko commie internet nerds are stealing her personal information and posting her pregnant daughter’s phone number on the internet.

I don’t get it. There is no need to attack her in this way! There are literally HUNDREDS of stupid things that this woman has done in the past 20 years, and new ones are being discovered every single day. Every time she opens her mouth, idiocy comes spilling out. Soon enough, she will no longer be a fresh face, and people will realize that NO, she did not “say no thanks” to the Bridge to Nowhere, and YES, she did make rape victims pay for their own rape kits.

Sarah Palin is slowly digging her own grave. Don’t fall in with her by resorting to illegal and morally questionable tactics. There is PLENTY of legitimate criticism to be aimed at this woman. Make use of it!
