Don’t Buy: Stupid People
I’m aware that this is kind of a broad topic. But I just discovered this on AOL News:
HARRISBURG, Pa. (Oct. 4) - Sue Nace thought election volunteers were joking when they told her she would have to remove her T-shirt to vote in the presidential primary last spring.But it was no laughing matter to the poll workers-turned-fashion police, who said Nace’s Obama shirt was inappropriate electioneering — and made her cover the writing before casting a ballot.Now, a political fight over what voters can wear to the polls is headed to court in Pennsylvania — with the Republican Party favoring a dress code and Democrats opposed.…“The first thing would be a button or a shirt, and maybe the next thing would be a musical hat,” said GOP chairman Robert Gleason, who called a news conference in support of dress codes.
OMGTHISSHITISSOSTUPID. If your supporters are so easily swayed that they change their vote because of a MAGICAL SINGING OBAMA HAT, maybe YOU’RE the one doing something wrong. Jesus Christ. I lived in Pennsylvania for 18 years, did I just somehow mentally block all the people who are THIS MORONIC?
Note to Obama: Leave the ridiculous hats to your fans.

Living in Pennsylvania for 18+3 years, I’ve learned that the suburbanites of the East (stretching linearly from NY to Philadelphia) are one thing but as soon as you cross the boundary west into Berks or Lancaster counties, your dealing with something else completely. So you may have avoided most of the fashion police.
I like the cowboy hat on Obama. He looks more like a cowboy than “cowboys” do today. There’s a maverick not worried about his image as a maverick.
Actually I take that back. I don’t want to be marked for calling Obama a maverick.
I want a magical singing Obama hat that sorts me into Gryffindor
Anthony: this is true. I’ve barely strayed more than an hour away from Philly unless it was to go into another state entirely. apparently with good reason.
Nate: for you I’m thinking…Hufflepuff.
Yes, the PA mountain-town population have their idiosyncrasies.
The cowboy hat’s been bothering me. It’s apparently never died since the image became popularized by TR: http://www.venturacountystar.com/news/2008/jul/31/roping-respect/
This is actually a very interesting article: How much must the Wild West live in the identity of the president?
If someone walked into my polling place wearing a magical singing Obama hat, I think I’d be LESS inclined to vote Obama. Republicans are shooting themselves in the foot here, once again.
I actually think I’m more Ravenclaw
The be honest… I think both the canidates are stupid. Though I’m just an idiot who hates politicians cause they tend to go;
“What do you think about -blahblahblah-” -reporter ot other dude
“Well, you see, I’m gonna go and comepletly talk about another topic because I havn’t yet thought about what most people want to hear me say instead of doing what I truely beleive will help the people the most.” -politician.
