Buy Or Don’t Buy

Apparently there is a need in the world for a new Star Trek movie. I understand that there are Trekkies, and people who enjoy the show or one of its 10 million spin offs. What I don’t understand is this new movie.

From what I understand it will be the original characters (Spock, Kirk, Darth Vader, Korben Dallas, and the Cylons). This seems completely unnecessary when there’s already so much Star Trek as is. Plus you have a perfectly good Leonard Nemoy and William Shatner and to a lesser extent George Takei.

Maybe I’m looking it too much. Maybe I should focus on the class I’m sitting in right now…

You know what? Fuck it. Stop remaking movies. Stop ruining old movies. If you make these movies at least have people who understand the story. I’ve had it.

I’m not sure what will happen if you piss off the Trekkies… but I’m sure there will be a lot of limited edition products broken.
