Don’t Buy: Eliminating Motivation

So there’s this thing called global warming. Last year and even a few months ago, the global warming warners were saying “hey, you have to act now to stop global warming or your children and your children’s children will be in peril!”

Well, I don’t want my children or children’s children to be in peril! So I started to use energy saving light bulbs and used public transportation more than ever. I even refill my water bottles! But the past year and past couple of months have apparently been really rough on mother nature. So rough that global warming has now become irreversible.

The scientists concluded global temperatures could remain high for 1,000 years, even if carbon emissions can somehow be halted.

What kind of motivation is that? Why should I continue to be living in my minimal-footprint leaving ways? Know what I hear? “If you haven’t started any efforts to be more “green,” don’t bother. It won’t make a difference.” My children and children’s children are gonna be sweating it up til the end of time. Good thing 2012 is only a few years away.

Anyways, happy Friday! Enjoy the cold weather while it’s still here.

xoxo,
Debbie Downer

  1. Awesome post! Great attitude to demonstrate a realistic, pessimistic and practical approach to our crisis. Warms my heart (and everything else).
