Buy Or Don’t Buy

As you know, I watch garbage on TV. Utter garbage. Rock of Love, Gossip Girl, PBS… you get the idea. But one piece of garbage I never got behind was American Idol.

It was cool that they use texting to involve the whole country, sure, that was new and cool. But now it’s old and boring. Apparently it’s highly rated, but viewership is on the decline. Or whatever.

So a little birdie, aka Twitter, told me that it’s on its way to being canceled. Like I said, I’ve never seen the show, but for some reason I hate it. What season is it on? Who cares?

Well, this “newsworthy” cancelation came to my attention via Rainn Wilson, you know, Dwight from the office. He tweeted:

Greg Grunberg just tweeted that AMERICAN IDOL has been cancelled and won’t be coming back next year!!!!! OMG!!! Aaaahegldgjlsiehjlfsjdlfj!

But google that, and nothing comes up. So chances are it’s a rumor. Booo. And it was probably said to make his twitter followers look stupid, or to show how much influence he has on twitter, or to anger the masses that still watch the show. As far I’m concerned it’s canceled. And with Greg Grunberg (WTF?) and Rainn Wilson’s endorsement, I can say that with confidence. Thanks twitter! At least, these people have an opportunity to celebrate, and maybe get a life.
