Buy: iPhone Ads

Imagine walking down the street with your cool iPhone because you are already cool for having one, and bam! right there you realize that ad by the bus stop wants to play with you? What do you do? Do you coyly start pinching and swiping your fingers to manipulate/tickle it? Or shyly wait and watch how others play with it first before giving it a go?

Well, you have an option and having an option to interact or not interact with ads is one way to break through the clutter. It’s a cool idea, but as usual, I have a few problems. First, I don’t have an iPhone. Second, pedastrian traffic. And thirdly, what if I make the ad really ugly because I don’t know what I’m doing? And there it is, broadcasted for all to see. It reminds me of when cops put out these big screens that monitor how fast you are going so others can see that you are indeed speeding.

But, it’s a buy, nonetheless. I mean look at it. Think about it. The possibilities are endless!

(Facts: The interactive iPhone ad was premiered at Media Playground conference in London last week and the image and story came from Campaigns.co.uk)
